(Persia Digest) - The statistics provided by the Iranian Customs during the first two months of this year show that Iran's marketing has been more successful in exporting its goods to countries in the Middle East and Asia. The top 10 countries on the list are China, UAE, Iraq, Afghanistan, India, South Korea, Turkey, Pakistan, Indonesia and Thailand, of which the largest growth was in Indonesia.
This indicates that Iran's export targeting is heavily concentrated on Asian countries. The only European country present in the top 20 countries, which is a customer of Iranian goods, is Italy, ranking thirteenth.
Among the 50 major export destinations of Iran, aside from Italy, are six other European countries, including Germany, ranking 22nd, Spain ranking 27th, Belgium 32nd, England 34th, Netherlands 42th and Bulgaria 44th.
Of the 100 countries reviewed in the Customs’ report, Iran's exports to 31 countries were negative and to 69 countries were positive. In the first two months of this year, exports to China declined in weight, but grew in terms of value, and exports to Germany grew in weight but declined in value. But exports to India have declined in both terms.
In contrast, exports to the UAE, Iraq, Afghanistan, Italy, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands and Bulgaria have grown in both perspectives.
