(Persia Digest) - Iran's second trade center in China opened in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, in a 300-square-meter building.
“The center was launched with the goal of introducing Iranian goods and services, to increase export capacity and attract foreign investment.” Iran's trade advisor in Shanghai said.
“The port city of Ningbo, with a population of 8 million, is among the 15 areas where the Chinese government has issued a license to establish a free trade zone. This port is the fifth largest trade port in the world in terms of port operating capacity.” Ali Dehghani said.
As per Persia Digest’s report, the first national pavilion, and Iran’s trade center in China, was launched last March in Shanghai on an area of 5,400 meters, in a two-story building. This pavilion has 60 booths in various economic, trade, developmental and technological fields.
Among the privileges of the free trade zone in China is the tax-free sale and supply of Iranian goods.
In the past 10 years, China has been Iran's largest trade partner. The volume of trade between Iran and China was about $ 37.3 billion in 2017, which increased to about 19.3% compared to 2016.
The volume of economic relations between the two countries in the first four months of this year was $ 13.2 billion, which increased to 9.3% compared to the same period last year.
