(Persia Digest) – The song called “Wintersweet” [Chimonanthus], or Ice Flower in Persian, is a memorable song performed by Iranian vocalist Kourosh Yaghmaei, that had also gathered some popularity around the world. It has now been used as the soundtrack for “Love Movie” directed by Robert Bourrer.

The news was announced by Kourosh Yaghmaei on his Instagram page. He posted a photo saying: “And this time “Wintersweet” has been selected as the soundtrack of a German movie.”

On 15 June, a demo of “Wintersweet” was also played in the Nas new LP release ceremony produced by Kanye West. Nas is married to Kim Kardashian. The composer of the piece said that this was done with the coordination and permission of his manager outside Iran, himself, and Kanye West.

“Wintersweet” has been translated into various languages and is probably the most popular Iranian single in the world.

Persia Digest reports that Kourosh Yaghmaei is the founder of rock music in Iran in the 70s, vocalist, and talented electric guitar player. His albums include the “Silver apple”, “Moon and leopard”, “The Nightmare”, and “Makeup of the Sun”. These gave contemporary music in Iran a new lease of life. Yaghmaei has not had permission to release a new album in Iran for years.
