(Persia Digest) – The Iranian Art of Cooking Festival will be held in Zanjan 1-3 August 2018 to discover cooking talents, plus much more.
Persia Digest reports that the event will be held in the two main competition and festival categories. It will take place in the three sections of finding the best traditional cook, a competition for professional chefs and best tutors, and for restaurant ratings. The festival will wrap up by selecting five top chefs to attend the international tourism festival for the art of cooking in Jan-Feb 2019.
Twenty stands are dedicated to cooking at the Zanjan Festival and 60 to handicrafts, the food industry, and other events.
The said Festival aims to revive and promote traditional foods as a tourist attraction, directing culinary talents, especially the youth, towards the establishment of an independent businesses, branding Persian cuisine in the tourism industry, creating vigor and social mobility in families, encouraging and promoting local home cooking and commercializing it on a national and international level, and highlighting local cuisine on hotel and catering menus.
Other events include a competition to promote and select top food supply centers, discovering cooking talents in Zanjan, training workshops, handicraft stands, and cultural programs.
Zanjan Province is in western Iran. The city of Zanjan is the provincial capital at a distance of 334kms from the capital of Iran, Tehran.
