(Persia Digest) – The Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Iran Deputy for Tehran Province has announced that USD 15MM and 300 thousand worth of handicrafts have been exported from this Province in the current year.
Mohammad Enshaei added: “These have been exported to Germany, Armenia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia, Netherlands, Italy, South Africa, and the Persian Gulf states.”
He stated: “Last year, USD 62MM worth of handicrafts were exported from Tehran Province and forecasts are for the export of USD 75MM worth of exquisite hand arts made here.”
He listed the exports to include traditional glassware, leatherwear, accessories, handwoven items, woodcarvings and marquetry, decorative stones, and clothing items.
