(Persia Digest) – The captain of the Iranian women’s mountain biking team, Faranak Parto-Azar, has received the top rank in Asia.
With 31 days to go to the start of the Asian Games 2018 in Indonesia, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) has ranked Faranak Parto-Azar as first in Asia and 87th in the world.
Parto-Azar’s successes have also placed the women’s national cycling team in Asia’s first place in cross-country cycling and the world’s 38th place.
According to UCI, Faraz Shekari is the runner up in the men’s category of the 2018 Asian Mountain Bike Championships with a difference of 58 points behind the Japanese contender, and 67th in the world.
Iran's national cross-country team is ranked 2nd in Asia and 29th in the world after Japan and before Kazakhstan.
