(Persia Digest) – The 48th Giffoni International Film Festival for children opened in Giffoni, Italy, last night. Four films from Iran will be screened here.
The short animation “Mr Deer” by Mojtaba Mousavi, and the short films “Playing on the moon” by Reihaneh Kavosh, “Chocolate” by Mehdi Heidari, and “The last class” by Mohammad Kheimehgahi will be shown in this edition of Giffoni.
The Festival will run from 20-28 July 2018, screening 100 films from five continents in the competition section titled “Water”.
Over 5600 children from 52 countries are participating at the Festival as jurors and it is forecast that up to 250 thousand spectators will attend the screenings.
Giffoni is the world’s largest children’s film festival which takes place in Giffoni Valle Piana every year. The winners are selected by juries of children and young adults in five age categories. Thousands of children and young adults between the ages of 3 and 21 judge the films submitted to the Festival every year.
