(Persia Digest) – Iran’s physics Olympiad team have taken 3 sliver and 2 bronze medals at the 49th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) in Portugal.

The Olympiad ran from 22 July 2018 in Lisbon. Hadi Azizi, Shervin Khalafi, and Amir-Hossein Bariri were the silver medal winners, and Arshia Afzal and Mobin Moradi won the bronze medals for Iran.

The chemistry Olympiad team also participated at the 50th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) which was mutually organized by the Check Republic and Slovakia with 300 participants from 78 countries, winning 4 silver medals.

The chemistry team included Behran Saeidi, Arshia Khademi, Mahdi Jafarzadeh, and Mohammad-Hassan Sharifnia.
