(Persia Digest) – Award winning Iranian film “Leaf of life” by Ebrahim Mokhtari has been screened at the Asia Tourism-Induced Film & TV Arts Week festival in the city of Taizhou in central Jiangsu province, in E China.

The closing ceremony took place on Tuesday night with participating filmmakers from 30 countries, including Australia, Japan, S Korea, the Philippines, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, France, and the USA.

In a speech, award winner Ebrahim Mokhtari briefly described the history of the Iranian cinema and film industry for the Chinese and international audience.

China holds many film festivals every year. The most popular ones are the Beijing International Film Festival, the One-Belt, One Road Festival, the Shanghai International Film Festival, and the Asia Tourism-Induced Film & TV Arts Week.

Over the past few years, the presence of Iranian movie faces has been featured more prominently in some Chinese circles, including the younger generation, intellectuals, and students.

Persia Digest reports that the “Leaf of life” has also won the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO) from the jury of contemporary Asian cinema figures at the 24th Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema held in France.
