(Persia Digest) – Iran’s Karate athlete, Sajjad Ganjzadeh, has beaten his Vietnamese opponent at the Asian Games in Jakarta to win the gold medal.

At the +84kgs category in the finals, Sajjad Ganjzadeh managed to win his game 5-2 for Iran’s 14th gold medal at the games.

Hamideh Abbas-Ali, Iranian woman karate athlete, also won a bronze medal to brings the number of medals for Iran’s contingency to two in this field today.

In the +68kgs category, Abbas-Ali was ahead of her Japanese opponent 11 seconds before the end, but was unable to maintain her supremacy. But she beat her Vietnamese opponent 3-0 for bronze.
