(Persia Digest) - Mixed martial arts Iranian fighter Amir Aliakbari has beaten his polish competitor Daniel Omielańczuk during a tough fight at the ACB league in Krasnodar, Russia.

Aliakbari defeated Omielańczuk, dubbed Polish Bear, after three five-minute rounds, producing his second convincing victory at ACB.

Aliakbari entered the bout trying to pin Omielańczuk down and pummel him by taking advantage of his talents as a multiple-time Greco-Roman wrestling world champion -- a technique that his polish fighter resisted in the first two rounds.

Omielańczuk’s resistance, however, broke at the beginning of round three after he got drained. Aliakbari knocked him down, delivering his devastating punches one after the other till he was declared the winner.

The match saw a rather unusual officiating decision. While Omielańczuk, 36, was completely worn out, the referees stopped the match to have him medically checked, giving the polish man a badly-needed three-minute respite. However, even that could not help Omielańczuk standing up to the Iranian Hercules in the end.

Aliakbari has now eight wins and one loss from his last nine fights.
