(Persia Digest) – Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, has said: “Hit and run times are over in the world and every hostile action against Iran will be answered tenfold.”

He continued: “The recent missile response by Iran to a terrorist group in Iraq’s Kurdistan region endangering Iran’s security was one of these cases.”

He reiterated: “We contacted the group before the attack who refused to talk. They hit one and took ten.”

The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran stressed on this strategy in all other fields, saying national security and authority depended on its implementation.

Shamkhani also commented on sanctions, saying these aimed at limiting the Iranian nation’s tools and capabilities to secure itself, and stated: “As in security and defense, we are able to protect our economy too.”

He said the reason for the presence of Russian and Turkish presidents at the recent tripartite summit in Tehran was the regional authority of Iran, adding: “If we did not have this capacity in Syria, we would not have the current authority.”

Shamkhani answered the question of what Trump was pursuing in his hostilities against Iran by saying: “Trump wants to deprive us of our missile power to stop us from defending ourselves in case of an attack by them.”
