(Persia Digest) – The Iranian Foreign Minister has tweeted a message in response to the terrorist attack in Ahvaz, southern Iran, holding supporters of terrorism in the region and their US masters responsible for the tragedy.
Javad Zarif published a tweet on his page about the attack on Iran’s armed forces parade this morning, saying: “Terrorists recruited, trained, armed & paid by a foreign regime have attacked Ahvaz. Children and journos among casualties. Iran holds regional terror sponsors and their US masters accountable for such attacks. Iran will respond swiftly and decisively in defense of Iranian lives.”
Persia Digest reports that this morning’s terrorist attack on the armed forces parade in Ahvaz killed ten people and left over sixty casualties. The spokesperson for the IRGC said the terrorist group were members of Al-Ahwazieh supported by Saudi Arabia.
The parade of Iran’s armed forces on the morning of 22 September 2018 takes place across Iran every year on the anniversary of the day Iraq attacked Iran in 1980. The ceremony also took place in Tehran, attended by the Iranian President.
