(Persia digest) - Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi once again underlined his country's commitment to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal with world powers, adding China's economic ties with Iran will continue.
Yi made the remarks Tuesday in a meeting with the Iranian Foreign Minister, Javad Zarif, held on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

The two sides explored ways to enhance economic relations and also discussed the latest situation of the nuclear deal, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which was abandoned by the US in May.

Pointing out Beijing's opposition to US pressures on Iran, Yi said China wants to see the JCPOA preserved.
"China will continue its economic ties with Iran," Yi said.
