(Persia Digest) – The European Film Week will open on Friday 12 October 2018 at 17h00 in the Naseri Khaneh Hall of the Iranian Artists Forum.
The film week will be held from 12-19 October. Fifteen films from 15 countries will be screened here. Invitees include the EU representative in Iran, ambassadors and their deputies, cultural attachés, cinema industry directors, actors, cultural figures, and the media.
The film week has been organized in association with the EU cultural office. The films will be shown at the Artists Forum, Golestan theater in Shiraz, Setareh Baran cineplex in Tabriz, Isfahan City Center Cineplex, Pars theater in Kerman, and the Art and Experience theater in Babol.
“Fly away home” (2016) Austria drama directed by Miriam Unger, “Afterimage” (2016) Polish drama directed by Andrzej Wajda, “Son of Sophia” (2017) Greek drama directed by Elina Psikou, “The Lesson” (2014) Bulgarian drama directed by Kristina Grozeva, “My Life as A Zucchini” by Swiss director Claude Barras, “The Young Karl Marx” (2017) German drama directed by Raoul Peck, “The Day Will Come” (2016) Danish drama directed by Jesper W Nielsen, “The Other Side of Hope” (2017) Finnish comedy drama film written, produced and directed by Aki Kaurismä, “End of the Road” (2018) British drama directed by India Perkins, “Quatertonda” (2016) Spanish drama, “The Miner” (2017) Slovenian drama directed by Hanna Antonina Wojcik Slak, and more will be screened during this week.
The film includes workshops on the cinema run by filmmakers in three cities of Tehran, Shiraz, and Isfahan free for the public.
