(Persia Digest) – Iran’s top swimmer has taken 5 gold medals to date at the Asian Para Games 2018 in Jakarta to become the top athlete at the competitions.

Shahin Izadyar has been on top form over the past three days, competing in the men's 200M individual medley SM10, 100M butterfly S10, and 100M freestyle S10, and 100M breaststroke for his medals.

Taking 5 gold medals at the competitions has been the best athletic performance so far. The previous record was held by China with 4 gold medals.

Izadyar of Iran still has a chance to add to his trophies with two other rounds remaining.

The 3rd Asian Para Games 2018 will run 6-13 October with 2880 athletes from 41 countries in 18 fields hosted by Jakarta.
