(Persia Digest) - Chairman of the Committee for Foreign Policy and National Security of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran has announced the setup of special mechanisms to attract foreign investment despite threats of US sanctions.

Heshmat Falahatpisheh stated: “We would like to reassure all foreign nationals that the intended mechanisms facilitating investment in Iran will not be affected by US sanctions and business will be easily conducted with Iran.”

He continued: “Another positive measure is that investors of USD 250 thousand in Iran will get a 5-year residents visa. The said mechanism will facilitate their travel to and from Iran without hindrance.”

Falahatpisheh emphasized: “Also, all foreign nationals who invest a minimum of USD 25 thousand in Iran can be sure that Iranian laws will help prevent difficulties with US sanctions policies.”
