Conciatori continued: “Italian artists who perform in Iran are always interested in returning to Iran and conducting projects with Iranian artists. We have an Italian artist who uses the “radif” of classical Iranian music in his compositions, and this reflects the relationship with Iranian art and culture.”

The Italian Ambassador added: “Nicola Piovani is an Italian light-classical musician who held a concert at the Vahdat Hall in Tehran some time ago and is interested in returning here to stage a classical music concert with the Tehran Symphony Orchestra.

Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini also said at the meeting: “Iran is ready to work more with Italy on theatrical, musical, visual arts, and fashion projects.”

Hosseini added: “Mutual projects between our two countries can extend from events to sustained educational and research activities.”

He went on to say: “We will conduct talks with the Roudaki Foundation and Tehran Symphony Orchestra leader, Shardad Rohani, about organizing a performance by Nicola Piovani in Tehran. This is a good collaborative work to look forward to.”
