(Persia Digest) – For the first time after forty years, three consignments of Iranian rice have been exported to Europe and Canada. The price of a kilo of rice exports is equal to the import of six kilograms of rice, indicating the demand for Iranian rice on the global market.
Mazandaran rice exports to Europe also proves that this has the highest level of standards.
Mazandaran Province, in northern Iran, has 210 thousand hectares of rice paddies and produces 42 percent of Iran’s rice to the tune of 1.4 million tons per year.
