(Persia Digest) - Iranian weightlifter Ali Hashemi win a gold medal of 102 kg weight class in 2018 World Weightlifting Championships in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan with a total record of 396 kg Thursday.
Another Iranian representative Reza Biralvand with 393 kg in total bagged the bronze medal of the same weight category.
The 2017 world champion Ali Hashemi with 179 kg in snatch, 217 kg in clean and jerk and 396 kg in total took the first place in the 2018 World Weightlifting Championships underway in Ashgabat from November 1-10.
Reza Biralvand with 175 kg in snatch, 218 kg in clean and jerk and 393 kg in total ranked third.
Earlier on Wednesday, Iranian weightlifter Sohrab Moradi (96 kg) with 186 kg in snatch, 230 kg in clean and jerk and 416 kg in total won three gold medals and ranked first.
