(Persia Digest) – “Silvaneh” or “Silvana” is to the southwest of West Azarbaijan Province at 30kms from Urmia, on the heights overlooking the Iran-Turkey border. The word “Silvaneh” or “Silvana” is an Italian word for a place in paradise and literally means forest.
There are 19 regions in the world with pure oxygen and the Silvana lake in Urmia is one of these.
Roaring waterfalls, hot springs, deep valleys, and fruit orchards in Silvana attract numerous tourists throughout the week.
Most of the people here work in handicrafts, such as weaving kilim, jajim, hats, and woolen socks. They are also dairy farmers and keep livestock.
Breathing in this fresh air is a fantastic experience. If you have not traveled to Silvana, now would be a good time to plan a trip to this pristine location and enjoy the unique air.
