(Persia Digest) – Iran’s three-woman Poomsae team wins the 2018 World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships held in China. Team members were Atoosa Farahmand, Seyedeh Masoumeh Hosseini, and Sona Razaghi.
The 11th World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships began on Thursday with 1274 fighters from 54 countries taking part in Taipei, China, and will continue for four days.
At the end of the women’s competitions for the under-40 class, Iran’s Poomsae team claimed the top platform, South Korea were the runners-up, and the teams from France and Finland shared 3rd rank.
Atoosa Farahmand also ranked 2nd in the individual taegeuk under-40 class with a score of 45.7. The South Korean fighter took the gold medal with a score of 50.7, followed by the US and Denmark claiming the bronze medals.
