(Persia Digest) – The Head of Iran’s Tourism Organization announced that Iran has started issuing e-visas without labels.
Ali-Asghar Munesan said: “Arrangements were made with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and law enforcement to implement this from 23 November 2018 at Iran’s airports. E-visas are being issued for tourists visiting Iran without labels (stickers).”
Munesan said this step had been taken to facilitate travel and cut red tape. He expressed hope that this will see a significant increase in the number of visitors to Iran.
Persia Digest (PD) reported that issuing e-visas without labels for tourists was first discussed when the Trump Administration limited travel to the US by people who had visited Iran and a number of other countries.
But the new system will appease fears by tourists who want to travel both to Iran and the US and enjoy the full four-seasons of the Iranian climate and its ancient civilization.
