(Persia Digest) – The 24th World Military Championship (WMC) Taekwondo tournament in Brazil has wrapped up with Iran becoming champions of the games.
The tournament began on Thursday at the naval base in Rio and ended this Monday morning Tehran time. Iran’s team won three gold and one bronze medal to claim the title.
Russia with two gold, one silver, and three bronze medals were the runners up and China stood third with one gold, three silver, and one bronze.
The organizing committee also selected Hamidreza Sadri and Mohammad-Reza Zavvar, both from Iran, as best Taekwondo fighter and best coach respectively.
