(Persia Digest) – International liners in the Shahid Beheshti Port of Chabahar will get a 90 percent discount on THC charges.
Container Service Charges (CSC or THC) will be discounted at 90 percent for three months. This will be 70 percent for the second three months and 30 percent for the month after that.
Tariffs, duties, and costs of Shahid Beheshti Port in Chabahar are the cheapest in the entire Persian Gulf region and the Sea of Oman.
The discounts have been applied after opening the first phase of Shahid Beheshti Port development project and an increased annual loading/unloading capacity of 8.5 million tons.
After the opening of the first phase and installation of all strategic equipment, this was transformed into an international port with an optimal depth of 16.5 meters for the coasting of liners weighing over 100 thousand tons carrying containers and bulk oil.
Shahid Beheshti Port is in Chabahar, southeastern Iran. It is ideally located on international transport and transit corridors.
This is a golden opportunity for regional traders engaged in import-export activities. It is a safe access route for Central Asian countries to free seas at the lowest costs and shortest distances.
According to the Director General of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Sistan & Baluchistan Province, Behrouz Aghaei, special discounts in the last eight months have led to a 51 percent increase in loading/unloading of oil and non-oil goods and a 73 percent increase in loading/unloading containers at this port.
