(Persia Digest) – The deputy chief of Sarallah Headquarters of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), has said he believes “Netanyahu’s comments on periodical presence of the Zionist regimes spies in Iran is a “political bluffing” made in line with Israel’s efforts to show its power on and influence in Iran but the precious experiences are indicative of their failure on spying on the country”.
Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, on Sunday announced in a meeting with Israeli diplomats that the Israeli intelligence forces are still on their missions in Iran to foil Islamic Republic’s nuclear ambitions. He added that Israeli intelligence forces visit Iran on a periodical basis to monitor the country’s nuclear activities.
Responding a question by Persia Digest (PD) on possibility of Israel’s spying on Iran’s nuclear activities, Brigadier General Esmaeil Kowsari said: “Netanyahu is just talking and talking has no costs. We have previously witnessed that no one buys his words. No official or organization pays any attention to him and talking is the characteristic of those who are after diplomatic bluffing. Therefore, statements of the Zionist regime’s prime minister are unfounded.”
Commenting on any concrete examples of Netanyahu’s claims, Kowsari said: “Spying is a common issue in all countries but the Zionist regime is merely concentrated on espionage. This is why the Islamic Republic of Iran considers Israel an illegitimate regime because it has always been after spying on different countries to embark/create war or tension.”
Asked if it is possible that the Israeli spies enter Iran as the inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the senior official said: “It can be possible in any form or disguise. Espionage cannot be limited only to one issue. But by making those statements, the Zionist regime was to show its power on and influence in Iran which is a diplomatic bluffing. Although Iran has many times proved that the Zionists failed to reach their spying goals in the country, the officials of this regime are still making such unfounded and baseless claims through mass media just to pretend that they are powerful.”
“The history of the Islamic Republic is indicative of its victory in the field of confronting espionage and it has been proven in practice that doing such works in Iran is not as easy as said by Netanyahu,” Kowsari said while rejecting the possibility of spies’ penetration to Iran.
