(Persia Digest) - The eight edition of the IRAN:CI Film Festival is to be held in the Czech Republic and Slovakia from January 15 to 26 with the cooperation of Farsi Cinema Center (FCC) to commemorate Iranian filmmaker Mohammad Ali Talebi by screening 30 feature, short and documentary films.
The festival will be inaugurated at Lucerna Cinema in Prague showing “The khook” (Pig) by Mani Haghighi and then continues in the city of Brno (January 22-23). It will continue its work in the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava, from January 24-26.
A number of feature films to be screened during the IRAN:CI Festival include: “Bedooneh Tarikh, Bedooneh Emza” (No Date, No Signature) by Vahid Jalili which will represent Iran in the 2019 Academy Awards; “Hojoom” (Invasion) by Sharam Mokri; “Bomb, Yek Asheghaneh (Bomb - A Love Story) by Peyman Moa’di; and “Se-Rokh” (3 Faces) by Jafar Panahi.
The feature films of the festival will be judged by Neal Dhand (American filmmaker residing in Prague), Jordi Niubó (Spanish-Czech film producer) and Mohammad Ali Talebi.
Three films by Talebi including “Chakmeh” (The Boot), “Kisehye Berenj” (Bag of Rice) and “Bad o Meh” (Willow and Wind) are to be screened in his commemoration section.
