(Persia Digest) - Iran has strongly dismissed the rumors on Tehran’s exit from the 2015 nuclear deal, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), repors Mehr News.
In a late statement on Saturday , Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi said the rumors of Iran's withdrawal from the JCPOA are totally untrue and the Islamic Republic remains committed to the accord.
His comments came in the wake of recent media hype reporting that Iran has decided to pull out of the JCPOA.
The official added that such rumors seem to be systematically aimed at bringing chaos into society so that opportunists can ensure their own interests.
Ghasemi stressed that any decision on the JCPOA lies only within the responsibility and authority of the High Council for Supervising the JCPOA and not any other entity.
The official also denied “the baseless rumors" of resignation by Foreign Minister Javad Zarif and any dispute between him and the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
