(Persia Digest) – The governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) has said US efforts to hold an anti-Iranian summit in Poland is the result of their frustration and added that Tehran would terminate any attempts to influence its foreign currency market.
Noting that the US has embarked on a new phase of psychological warfare against the Iranian nation, Abdol-Nasser Hemmati said: “Announcing that an anti-Iranian summit is to be held in the weakest European country and claiming that no more oil exemptions will be granted to Iran, together with bitter past US experiences in stepping back from its claim of bringing Iran’s oil exports to zero, are all indicative of Washington’s frustrations with the effectiveness of their actions against Iran.”
He added: “The accelerated start of meeting Iran’s demands for foreign currencies through India, China and South Korea, as well as Tehran’s decision to boost its trade with Turkey, Iraq and other neighboring states, alongside its favorable foreign currency deposits and the effective presence of the CBI on the forex market will once more abort US efforts to disturb Iran’s currency market.”
According to Persia Digest (PD), Poland has accepted to host an anti-Iranian summit which is to be held by the US.
