(Persia Digest) – A group of Iranian actors have visited renowned French cinematographer, Jean-Claude Carrière, at the Gandhi Hospital in Tehran.

Jean-Claude Carrière (DoB 1931), is a French, scriptwriter, actor, screenwriter, director, and president of La Fémis, the French state film school. He has written numerous scripts for directors, with extensive cooperation with Spanish filmmaker, Luis Buñuel. Carrière is a three-time nominee and two-time Oscar winner.

His wife is Iranian author, Nahal Tajadod. Carrière has traveled to Iran on many occasions and is presently hospitalized here for health reasons.

Iranian actors Iraj Rad, Behzad Farahani, Asghar Hemmat, Shahram Guilabadi, and Hojjatollah Ayoubi visited him in hospital last night on behalf of Iran’s Theater Forum and presented him with the Forum’s medallion.
