(Persia Digest) – Celebrations for the 40th anniversary of Iran’s Islamic Revolution have wrapped up with the rallies of 11 February on the victory of the 1979 Revolution. The people of Iran celebrated with marches across the country in specified locations.
Iranian and domestic journalists also witnessed the marches in Tehran towards Azadi Square. Marchers chanted slogans in support of the Islamic establishment in Iran and expressed their opposition with US hawks and administration in abrogating the JCPOA and reinstating harsh sanctions on Iranians.
Persia Digest (PD) reports that the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution by Ayatollah Khomeini is celebrated on 11 February each year. The revolution toppled the monarchy and founded the Islamic Republic.
