(Persia Digest) – Ali Hajimiri, Caltech Professor of Electrical Engineering and Medical Engineering, has won the 2019 Feynman Prize for Excellence in Teaching.

Dr Hajimiri is an Iranian professor of Electrical Engineering and Medical Engineering. He has been awarded Caltech’s most prestigious 2019 Feynman Prize.

Hajimiri was nominated by Caltech students and alumni for the prize who were joined by the Faculty.

He was also the Gold medal winner at the National Physics Competition and Bronze Medal winner at the 21st International Physics Olympiad in Groningen, Netherlands. Hajimiri graduated in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 1994 and went on to receive his master's and doctoral degrees from Stanford in the same subject.

In addition to his research in microsystems, he joined the California Institute of Technology in 1998 as Associate Professor and the Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering.

In 2004, Professor Hajimiri was selected as one of the top 100 young inventors of the world.
