(Persia Digest) – The Iranian President has said: “Legal advisors to the President’s Office, the Minister of Justice, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs have been charged with the task of submitting a bill of complaint against the instigators of sanctions against Iran in the US.”

Speaking on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting, Hassan Rouhani said: “Our enemies put all their weight behind keeping our country back and disrupting the lives of ordinary people. The Americans left the JCPOA without legitimate reasons and imposed the harshest sanctions on us. They think they can return to Iran if they put maximum pressure on us.”

He stressed: “Their aim is to return to Tehran and dominate the people. But this will never happen.”

The Iranian President continued: “The legal department of the government includes the legal
advisors to the President’s Office, the Minister of Justice, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. They have been charged with the task of drawing up a bill of complaint for crimes against humanity against all those in the US who have colluded to implement sanctions against us and submit it to a competent court in the country. If the court rules in favor of the bill, we will pursue it.”

Rouhani reiterated: “US sanctions are not about the Iranian government and nuclear technology, but about the livelihood of ordinary Iranians.”
