(Persia Digest) – Iran and the world’s oldest seller of papers and Guinness record holder, Mohammad-Ebrahim Ranjbar-Amiri, has died aged 92 on the night of 3 April 2019 in Karaj, Tehran Province.

Ranjbar-Amiri was born in 1928 in Babol, northern Iran. He began selling papers in Tehran in 1937.

He held the Guinness World Records title for the oldest newspaper seller in Iran and the world.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, 6 April.
