(Persia Digest) – Guity Mousavi from Tabriz in northwestern Iran has succeeded to pull a truck trailer weighing 12,270kgs for a distance of 30 meters with a cord to break the record of the world’s strongest woman.

Mousavi set the record today, Saturday, in the presence of Iranian advisors for the Guinness World Records and crowds in Tabriz.

The previous Guinness record holder was and ironwoman from Australia who pulled a truck trailer weighing 11,350kgs.

The 43-year old ironwoman from Tabriz whose name will be recorded in the Guinness World Records began exercising at the age of seven. She won the powerbuilding competitions in September 2018 in the 90kg weight category.

Mousavi says that she first achieved the move six months ago. But because her attempt was recorded on a mobile, it was rejected and she was asked to film her attempt from different angles.

She wishes to move a 12-15 ton airplane in the future.

Iranian advisor for the Guinness World Records, Ashkan Doshman-Ziari, remarked on the sidelines of Mousavi’s record: “Documents are obtained and sent to the Guinness World Records office. This is then assessed by referees and registered.”

Doshman-Ziari continued: “Guinness has no official reps in Iran. No judges travel to Iran due to certain constraints. But other strategies have been laid out to register the records.
