(Persia Digest) – Simultaneously with the national nuclear technology day in Iran today, 114 new nuclear achievements were unveiled, including the installation of IR6 centrifuges which are more advanced than the IR1 model currently in use.

The Iranian President unveiled four projects via video conferencing and five projects at the Iran International Conference Center. Another 105 achievements were unveiled in an adjoining exhibition hall.

One of the projects unveiled by Hassan Rouhani via video conferencing included the installation of a chain of twenty IR6 centrifuges in the Natanz Complex. Another three projects included the National Center for Engineering and Technology at the Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant, a nuclear reprocessing center, and the exploitation of a medical linear accelerator center named “Omid”.

At the inauguration ceremony, the Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran said: “The reinstatement of unilateral American sanctions and its recent hostile act has not and will not weaken our resolve in advancing our nuclear technology.”

He added: “We are committed to interacting with the IAEA within the framework of our agreements.”

Speaking about the installation of a chain of twenty IR6 centrifuges, Salehi said: “We will continue to upgrade our centrifuges as agreed to in the JCPOA while complying with our commitments.”

It must be noted that the above centrifuges have been produced in Iran’s modern centrifuge assembly workshop which opened recently on the orders of the Supreme Leader.
