(Persia Digest) – The first and largest exhibition of meteorites from the Lut Desert and other parts of Iran will open on 28 April 2019 at the Golestan Palace World Heritage Site in Tehran.

The exhibition is organized by Unesco’s Lut Desert World Heritage Center, in association with the Golestan Palace World Heritage Center, and Hojjat Kamali who is a record holder for the discovery of meteorites and the only Iranian collector and museum owner of meteorites.

The exhibition will open in the presence of Iran’s Earth Sciences professors and dignitaries. Iran’s largest meteorite in the country’s largest collection holding over 700 meteorites collected with the endeavors of Hojjat Kamali will be unveiled for the first time. The collection has been registered in the international Meteoritical Bulletin Database.

The exhibition will run from 28 April to 18 May 2019 every day. Opening hours are 09h30-15h00.
