It has used the three broad areas of research, outreach, and stewardship, assessing over 450 universities in 76 countries.
The Sustainable Development Goals include 3) Good Health and Well-being, 4) Quality Education, 5) Gender Equality, 8) Decent Work and Economic Growth, 9) Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, 10) Reducing Inequality, 11) Sustainable Cities and Communities, 12) Responsible Consumption and Production, 13) Climate Action, 16) Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, 17) Partnerships for the Goals.
Based on the standards of the Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings, any university linked to three of the above has been evaluated.
The Elsevier data for 2013-2017 has been used in the Partnerships for the Goals area, together with the number of graduates or the performance of universities as announced by them.
