(Persia Digest) – The Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, Seyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, has announced: “All forces must be ready as in night combat and constantly practice war games. The threats are serious.”
Major General Seyed Abdolrahim Mousavi stated that threats against Iran are serious, adding: “Even though the initial threats will not be on the ground, the ground forces should maintain their readiness and promote their combat capabilities at the core of all operations.”
He continued by saying: “One of our plans in the military has been to turn the ground forces into an offense moving force of rapid response in all areas.”
Mousavi stated that these areas can be defensive or a home guard of local volunteers. He added: “In natural disasters, the first force to reach the people is usually the army. The same applies to times of war and defense.”
The Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Army continued by saying: “God forbid, if the country is faced with threats, the army is in a position to be the first on the scene to face the enemy.”
