(Persia Digest) – Relics from the National Museum of Iran from the Achaemenid era to the Safavid era have been taken to the National Museum of China for an exhibit titled “Asian Civilizations”.
Director General of Iranian Museums, Mohammad-Reza Kargar, said: “The relics have been taken to the National Museum of China in Beijing yesterday morning to be displayed at the exhibition which opens tomorrow, 13 May. Twenty other countries are also taking part with 450 artifacts.”
The Asian Civilization exhibition will run until the end of August.
Kargar continued by saying: “More than 100 relics belong to China and the remainder is from countries like Turkey, Azerbaijan, etc.”
He added: “Fifteen data-x-items dating from the Achaemenid era to the Safavid era have been taken to the exhibition from various historic sites in Iran, including pottery, Achaemenid stone inscriptions, clay busts sculptures and bottles from the Sassanid era, and blue and white China introducing the link between Iran and China.”
He added: “Iran cooperates with China in cultural fields and joint exhibitions of historical works; they have been conducting talks on the subject.”
