(Persia Digest) - Khoresh Aloocheh (green plum stew) is an original dish from the city of Kerman in southern Iran. Since aloocheh is a spring fruit, the food is only cooked in springs and has many fans. It is very easy to cook Khoresh aloocheh and is one of the favorites for those who like sour foods.
Ingredients (to serve 4)
400g of meat
100g Pinto bean
1 tbsp tomato paste
300g dried parsley and coriander
½ cup chopped fried onion
100g Aloocheh (green plum)
2 tpbs lime juice
½ cup oil
Black pepper, turmeric and cinnamon to the taste
Wash the pinto beans and soak for a few hours, change the water several times while soaking.
Saute meat and fried onion in a pan on low heat until the meat is brown. Add the soaked pinto beans with some boiled water and reduce the heat. Add salt and other spices. When meat and pinto beans are well cooked add the Aloocheh, dried parsley and coriander, tomato paste and lime juice and let the khoresh simmer slowly. After 30 minutes of simmering, Khoresh Aloocheh is ready. Bon Appetite
