(Persia Digest) – An Iranian company producing nano carpets has succeeded in exporting 1.5MM euros worth of its product to 25 countries in 2018.
Iraq, Qatar, Oman, China, Japan, Russia, Austria, Germany, and South Africa were some of its export destinations last year.
Bacteria and mold in the carpets has been drastically reduced due to the antibacterial nanoparticles in the threads used in the weaving, making these very hygienic. These are recommended for use in households with young children and older adults who are more susceptible to environmental pollutions.
The carpets have become very popular in a short time as their prices are equal to conventional carpets despite the use of nanotechnology.
Machine-made carpets are prone to mold growth as compounds are used to prevent the separation of threads in the carpet. Nanoparticles can help prevent this.
