(Persia Digest) – The Iranian National Volleyball Team has won its third game with Germany 3-0 at the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League.

This has made a dream week for Iran with three wins and nine full points in three games in the first week of the Nations League.

Iran’s volleyball players managed to beat Italy 3-1 in the first game and China 3-0 in their second game.

In its third game against Germany, Iran won all three sets 30-28, 29-27, and 25-20.

In the second week of the games being hosted by Japan, Iran will face Brazil on Friday 7 June, and Argentina and Japan on 18 and 19 June respectively.

Iran, Italy, China, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Japan, Canada, Poland, Russia, Portugal, Australia, France, Serbia, Bulgaria, and the US are the 16 teams competing at the games. After the preliminary round, the five top teams and the US will compete at the final from 10-14 July.

This is Iran’s National Volleyball Team’s 7th present at the games. Its best performance was in 2014 when it came in 4th place.
