(Persia digest) – The men’s national volleyball team of Iran ranked first on the table at the end of the first week of the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League by winning all its three matches and gaining nine full points.

Argentina was at the top of the table until yesterday (2 June), but failed to win against Canada and gave its place to Iran.

Captain of the Iranian National Team, Saeid Marouf, was also named the best ball passer at the end of the first week of the League games.

He won the title with an average of 13 passes and a score in each set.

In its first three matches, Iran beat Italy (3-1), China (3-0) and Germany (3-0).
