(Persia Digest) – ‘Shirin’s Castle’ directed and produced by Seyed Reza Mirkarimi, prominent Iranian cinematographer, has been admitted to the main category of Shanghai International Film Festival and nominated for the Golden Goblet Award.

The festival is one of fifteen competitive events in world cinema which will run from 15-24 June 2019 in China.

‘Shirin’s Castle’ is Mirkarimi’s ninth film as a director which was highly acclaimed by critics and spectators at its premiere and only screening at the Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

His most popular movies include ‘Under the moonlight’, ‘Here is a shining light’, ‘So close, so far’, and ‘As simple as that’. Mirkarimi was the Secretary of the 36th Fajr International Film Festival.
