(Persia Digest) – The Spokesperson for Iran's Supreme National Security Council has pointed to the Japanese Prime Minister’s trip to Tehran, saying: “Efforts for the US to return to the 2015 JCPOA nuclear deal, compensation for damages incurred, and the lifting of secondary sanctions will guarantee the success of this trip.”
In a note published by Fars News Agency, SNSC Spokesperson, Keivan Khosravi, wrote about Abe Shinzo’s trip to Iran: “The visit by Abe Shinzo to Iran is most certainly an important step in strengthening and expanding the already friendly ties between the two countries in all aspects.
Japan’s Head of the Executive Branch will certainly use this opportunity to increase Japan’s political credibility.
It has been suggested that Abe Shinzo is coming to Iran on US’ behalf as a mediator. Efforts ‘for the US to return to the JCPOA nuclear deal,” and ‘the lifting of secondary sanctions,’ both of which are accepted and approved by the international community, will guarantee the success of this trip.”
Persia Digest (PD) reports that Abe Shinzo will travel to Tehran on Wednesday. This will be a historic trip by a serving Japanese Prime Minister to Iran after four decades.
