(Persia Digest) – The World Tourism Organization Summit will be held in Hamedan 14-19 November 2017.
The summit is being held in Iran for the first time and the city of Hamedan has won the race to host this important get-together on Tourism here.
Five-hundred private companies from 130 countries are members of the World Tourism Organization. Of these, nine are private Iranian companies and Alisadre Siahati Company has become a member of the BoD of the Organization this year.
The World Tourism Organization based in Madrid is a UN agency in the tourism sector and a policymaker on tourism. Currently, it is the world's leading international travel and tourism organization.
It has twelve board members in all and one of its members is from Iran this year - Alisadre Siahati Company – for the first time.
The important sightseeing places in Hamedan include the tombs of physician Avicenna and poet Baba Taher, Teppe Hegmataneh, Alavian Dome, Haj Agha Torab Nahavand old public baths, Lotfalian Malayer House, Masudi House, Mir Razieddin Artimani Mausoleum, Highugh Nabi (AS) Mausoleum. These places attract large crowds of visitors in the Iranian New year every year.
Ganjnameh inscription, Angeli and Gregory churches, Ghal’e baths, Safavid caravanserai, old water cisterns, old houses, and Nazari Gardens are other attractions of the city.
