(Persia Digest) – Iran’s Deputy for Tourism has announced that Iran and Iraq have signed MoUs for Cultural Heritage, handicrafts and tourism.

Vali Teimour added: “The MoU has 11 articles on developing tourism between the two countries, especially Health Tourism.”

He added: “Four of the articles are also on Cultural Heritage whereby the Cultural Heritage Organization of Iran undertakes to cooperate in compiling the file for the inscription of Wadi-us-Salaam cemetery and the restoration of Ctesiphon.”

He added: “The preparation of a joint file on the intangible heritage of Arbaeen with the cooperation of Iran and Iraq is one of the main points mentioned in the memorandum.”

The deputy continued: “The Iraqi side undertook in this memorandum to provide a place for the sale of Iranian handicrafts in one of the cities of Baghdad, Karbala, or Najaf."
