(Persia Digest) – Deputy of the Iranian President’s PR Office has said: “Trump’s claim of last minute cancelation of strike on Iran due to the number of people who would have been killed is not true.”

Deputy Parviz Esmaeili posted a message on a social media account, saying: “Even if the meeting at the White House was about a military strike against Iran, the outcome would have been discussed and Trump’s claim of a last minute cancelation to prevent a large number of deaths is not accurate. It seems the objections of US allies and undeniable documents on the US drone violating Iranian airspace have also reached him”

Persia Digest (PD) reports that President Donald Trump has claimed to have issued orders on Thursday for surgical strikes on three targets in Iran in retaliation for the IRGC Air Force downing a US drone over the Strait of Hormuz. But he canceled the operation ten minutes before it was due to take place, when the generals informed him out how many people would be killed.
