(Persia Digest) – Nodeh waterfall in Ardabil Province has frozen over. At a distance of 4kms to the east of a village by the same name in the southern foothills of Agh-Dagh mountain, the waterfall has a drop of 30 meters.
The village and waterfall are in the Hashjin area. Nodeh village is 15kms from Hashjin, the center of Khorshar-Setam County. The village, in the southern foothills of Agh-Dagh Mountain (height 3303 meters) has a lush, stunning landscape of waterfalls, valleys, and forests well worth visiting. The waterfall cascades down over 30 meters, gushing out of rocks.
Agh-Dagh means White Mountain in Azeri. The peak is to the west of Gharlogh village and north of Shah-Baghi village. It is made of white limestone. The locals also have other names for the Peak, including Hajaja-Dagh, meaning twin peaks, or Imazada-Daghi for the mausoleum of Imamzadeh Soltan Seyed Mahmud situated here. The mountain is 2500 meters above sea level. To its south, at a height of around 2100 meters, there flows a fresh, drinkable water source that helps with digestion and wellness.
